A lot of you are walking around fully convinced that half of this country is brainwashed. Specifically the half you've been trained to call "the right," or "conservatives" — which, by the way, has quietly come to mean anybody who isn't fully sold out to the Democratic Party. That's its own sleight of hand we'll deal with another day. But let's take the claim seriously for a second. Let's actually follow it where it leads. Because when you do, the whole thing falls apart in your hands.

Let's go step by step. Slowly. On purpose.

Brainwashing is a result of propaganda. We agree on that, right? You don't get a brainwashed population without a sustained stream of messaging shaping how they think. And where does propaganda come from? It comes through the media — and I mean media in the full sense: television, movies, the news outlets you read, and yes, the education system. All of it. There's an old principle worth holding onto here: all media is propaganda. All of it carries a frame, a worldview, an agenda — whether it announces itself or not. Nothing you consume is neutral. Nothing. 🔑

Now hold that thought and answer one honest question: what does the makeup of American media actually look like?

Be real. The overwhelming majority of it — the networks, the studios, the major papers, the universities — leans LEFT. Not a little. Substantially. Now, is there right-leaning propaganda out there too? Absolutely. Of course there is. I'm not going to sit here and pretend one side has clean hands while the other does all the manipulating — that would make me exactly the kind of unserious person this whole piece is pushing against. But we have to be clear and honest about the balance of the thing. And the balance is not close. The machine — the bulk of it — tilts one direction.

So here's the question that should stop you cold.

If the right is brainwashed — who, exactly, is doing the brainwashing?

Watch how fast the answer falls apart.

"Fox News." That's the answer you're going to get nine times out of ten. Okay. Let's sit with that.

Fox is ONE network. One. And if we're being truthful, Fox isn't even some pure conservative juggernaut — it operates more like a RINO outfit than a genuinely Republican one, watering down and managing the very base it claims to speak for. But fine. For the sake of argument, let's hand you the whole thing. Let's say Fox News, all by itself, has the power to brainwash half of America.

One network. Half the country. Done.

But now you've got a problem you can't get out of. Because if ONE network is powerful enough to brainwash half the nation all by its lonesome… then what in the world is the OTHER ninety percent of the media doing? The dozens of networks, the studios, the streaming platforms, the newspapers, the magazines, the algorithms, the textbooks, the professors — all of it leaning the other way — and you want me to believe that entire ocean of messaging somehow failed to influence the other half of the country?

One little network can brainwash 165 million people. But the rest of the entire apparatus couldn't touch the other 165 million? They're just… clear-eyed, independent, totally untouched, thinking purely original thoughts?

Come on now.

What Are Ya'll Talkin' About???

Here's why I'm walking you through this so deliberately — because the math isn't really the point. The math is just the doorway.

The point is the PATTERN. This little brainwashing contradiction isn't some one-off goof in somebody's reasoning. It's a perfect, bite-sized example of the thing I keep trying to get people to see across the board: the system we're living inside is built to distract and deceive, and it works by convincing you of one specific lie above all the others.

That lie is this: you are the only one who isn't being manipulated.

That's the masterstroke. That's the whole trick. Real, effective propaganda doesn't win by making you believe something false — that's amateur hour. The advanced version makes you believe you're IMMUNE. It hands you a comforting little story: everybody on the other side is a programmed drone, while you and yours arrived at every one of your conclusions through pure reason and good sense. And the moment a person takes that story as a license to STOP thinking — stop questioning, stop checking, stop reading anything that might poke a hole in what they already believe — that's the moment they become the easiest person alive to move. Certain they can't be moved, so they quit guarding the door entirely.

But — and I have to be very clear here, because this is the whole reason a channel like this exists — that trap does NOT catch everybody the same. This is where folks flatten something that should never be flattened. Yes, every side is touched by propaganda. Yes, bias runs through all of us to some degree — nobody's standing on perfectly neutral ground, myself included. But "everybody's affected" is not the same sentence as "everybody's affected equally," and the people who smush those two together are usually counting on you not to notice the difference.

Because here's the truth: the person actually doing the work — studying, asking the uncomfortable questions, turning the lens on their OWN side first, sitting down and writing their thoughts out until they actually hold together — that person is not standing in the same spot as the man running entirely on whatever his feed handed him this morning. Not close. One is deliberately, carefully navigating AROUND the machine, keeping the big picture in view, auditing himself the whole way. The other is being carried along by the current and calling it his own idea. They might both say "I see clearly." Only one of them has earned the right to the sentence.

So the tell was never that somebody claims to see clearly. The tell is whether they ever turn the lens back on themselves. The drone never does — he's dead certain his side somehow walked away clean from the very machine he swears captured everybody else, and that one-way certainty is the confession. The critical thinker turns it on himself constantly; that's not arrogance, that's the work. And doing that work measurably lowers how easily you get moved — which is exactly why the system is built to keep you too distracted, too tribal, and too comfortable to ever sit down and do it.

And before anybody waves this off as a theory — it's documented. In writing. On the record.

In August of 2024, Mark Zuckerberg — the man who runs Facebook and Instagram — sent a letter to Congress admitting that back in 2021, senior officials from the Biden administration, the White House included, repeatedly pressured his teams for MONTHS to censor certain COVID content. Not foreign enemy propaganda. Not some hostile nation's disinformation. Americans. Regular posts. He specifically said they leaned on him over humor and satire — jokes — and got frustrated when his people didn't fall in line. He called the pressure wrong and said he regretted going along with it. That's not me guessing in my living room. That's the CEO of the biggest social platform on the planet putting it on paper for the United States Congress.

And the wild part is it wasn't even all hidden. Back in July of 2021, the President stood up in public and said social media companies were "killing people" by leaving the wrong posts up. So you had the threat out loud AND the squeeze behind the scenes — and we KNOW the squeeze worked, because the man on the receiving end of it told us so himself. There's even a name for this exact move: jawboning. The government can't legally censor you, so it leans on the private company to do the censoring for it and keeps its own fingerprints clean. The whole mess went all the way to the Supreme Court in 2024 — and while the Court ducked the actual constitutional question on a technicality, one of the justices came right out and called the government's pressure coercive.

And if you want the single cleanest example of the average mind getting lulled to sleep, look no further than the Hunter Biden laptop. October 2020, just weeks before the election, the New York Post runs the story. Almost immediately, Twitter blocks people from even SHARING it and Facebook throttles how far it can travel. Then fifty-one former intelligence officials sign a public letter saying the thing has "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation" — and just like that, the establishment press waves the whole story off as foreign disinformation and moves along. Case closed. Nothing to see here. Go on back to sleep.

Except some of us were paying attention, and we already knew better. We knew about the computer repair shop in Delaware. We knew the FBI had taken possession of that laptop all the way back in 2019. We knew the basics of what was actually on it. So we sat there watching a true story get branded a Russian lie in real time — and we waited for the moment of intellectual honesty that, deep down, we already suspected was never coming.

And it didn't come. Because here's the part that proves the entire point: the laptop was real. The New York Times confirmed it. The Washington Post confirmed it. Its contents ended up used in a federal trial. The story the whole machine spent weeks burying as "Russian disinformation" had been true the entire time. And when the vindication finally landed — when admitting it would have cost those officials and the pundits who ran with them absolutely nothing but a sliver of pride — they STILL wouldn't say it. Most never corrected the record at all. They just slid quietly on to the next thing and let the false impression stand.

THAT right there is the tell I keep pointing at. Not the original mistake — mistakes happen to everybody. It's the refusal to come back and be honest once the truth is sitting in plain sight, undeniable. That's not an accident. That's a posture. And it's the exact posture that keeps half a country comfortable, certain, and sound asleep.

And notice what all of it has in common: it's not a feeling, not a vibe, not some conspiracy I cooked up in my living room to get you riled. It's a CEO's signed letter to Congress. It's a sitting President saying it on camera. It's a true story buried as a foreign lie and never once honestly walked back. On the record — documented, dated, verifiable — every single time. And STILL, most people walking around today have no idea any of it happened. Which, if you've followed me this far, tells you the machine is working exactly as designed.

So no, I'm not telling you the right is pure and the left is brainwashed. That's just the same dumb game with the jerseys swapped. I'm telling you to drop the jersey entirely and look at the structure of the thing. Ask who owns the machine. Ask who profits from you being certain and asleep. And ask why the one accusation they hand you for free — you're brainwashed — is the only one they never, ever turn around and point at themselves.

Half the country didn't get brainwashed by one cable network while a whole ocean of messaging mysteriously left the other half untouched. That's not how any of this works, and somewhere deep down you already know it. So stop asking how the other side got so fooled. Start asking who's counting on you to never once turn that same question around on yourself — and then have the nerve to sit in whatever answer comes back. The moment it makes you uncomfortable is the moment you're finally awake.
